Hostinger Plans Explained: Hosting, Website Builder and AI Plans, With Real Use Cases.

An authorized Hostinger partner walks through every hosting, builder, cloud, VPS and AI plan, who each one fits, and when to skip it. Updated October 2026.

Short answer: Hostinger sells four kinds of plans that matter to a small business — shared web hosting (Premium, Unlimited, Cloud Startup), cloud and VPS servers for growth, an AI website builder bundled with hosting, and standalone AI plans (Horizons for building apps by chat, plus AI automation apps). For most local businesses the Unlimited plan is the sensible default, and Premium is enough for a simple brochure site. Below is every plan, who it fits, and the situations where we would tell you to buy something else.

Plan names and prices checked against Hostinger’s own plan pages on October 13, 2026. Hostinger changes prices and promotions often, so confirm the total at checkout before you buy.

We are an authorized Hostinger partner, which means we host our own projects there and recommend it when it fits a client. That also means we earn a commission when you sign up through our link, so we say so up front and we tell you where Hostinger is not the right answer. Prices here were checked on Hostinger's own pages in October 2026; they change often, so always confirm at checkout.

Shared web hosting: Premium, Unlimited and Cloud Startup

Shared hosting means your site lives on a server alongside others, with the provider managing the machine. It is the right home for most small-business sites. Hostinger's three entry plans, at the long-term introductory rates published in October 2026:

Plan featurePremiumUnlimited (Business)Cloud Startup
Intro price (48-month term)about $2.99/moabout $3.99/moabout $7.99/mo
Renewal priceabout $10.99/moabout $16.99/moabout $25.99/mo
Websites3UnlimitedUnlimited
Storage20 GB SSD50 GB NVMe100 GB NVMe
BackupsWeeklyDailyDaily plus on-demand
Free SSL, CDN, WordPress toolsYesYesYes

Two details deserve attention. First, the renewal price is the real price. A 48-month term at the intro rate is a good deal for the first four years, but you are signing up for that rate once, not forever, so read the renewal line before you buy. Second, "unlimited" features sit under a fair-usage policy; they are generous, not infinite.

Premium: the brochure-site plan

Use case: a plumber, salon, tutoring practice, or restaurant with a handful of pages, a contact form and a Google Business Profile. Three sites is enough for the main site plus a landing page or a second location. Weekly backups are acceptable when the site changes rarely; if you update daily, step up.

Unlimited (Business): the default we reach for

Use case: a business that runs a blog, an online shop, or several brands — or any owner who wants daily backups and room to grow without migrating in a year. The NVMe storage and extra resources help pages load faster, which matters for the Core Web Vitals Google measures. If you are on the fence between Premium and Unlimited, the daily backups alone usually settle it.

Cloud Startup: for sites that have outgrown shared

Use case: a store with steady traffic, a membership site, or an agency running many client sites. You get more storage and more resources, with the same management features. It costs noticeably more at renewal, so buy it because you need the headroom, not because the name sounds premium.

Higher cloud tiers and VPS: when you need real capacity

Hostinger's cloud line continues above Startup with more CPU and memory for busy WordPress and WooCommerce sites. VPS hosting is a different animal: you rent a virtual server with root access, usually unmanaged. That is excellent for developers who run custom apps, APIs, or self-hosted tools, and a poor idea for a business owner who just wants a website. A VPS does not update itself, patch itself or back itself up unless you set that up, and a neglected server is a security problem.

Rule of thumb: if you cannot explain what you would use root access for, you do not need a VPS. Our guide to shared vs. cloud vs. VPS hosting goes deeper, and web hosting explained covers the vocabulary.

The Hostinger AI Website Builder

This is the AI option most small-business owners actually want. You describe your business, the AI generates a first draft of the site, and you refine it in a drag-and-drop editor. It ships on the same shared plans above, with hosting, SSL and a first-year domain included, plus AI helpers for logos, product descriptions, blog drafts and SEO fields such as titles and meta descriptions. Hostinger also describes an "agentic" mode where you build by chatting. Credits are limited: the shared plans include a small one-time allotment, and more can be bought.

Use case: a new business that needs a presentable site this week, a side project, or a tester who wants to see an idea live before investing. Where it stops: an AI draft is a starting point. It does not know your brand voice, your accessibility obligations or your local search strategy. Our post on what AI website builders do well and where they stop lays out the limits, and a site that is expected to earn customers for years usually benefits from custom design.

Hostinger Horizons: the AI plan for building apps by chatting

Horizons is aimed at people who want a working web app or tool — a booking page, a calculator, a small store, a client portal — without writing code. You describe what you want, the AI builds it, and you keep refining in conversation. It runs on monthly AI credits, and Hostinger lists these tiers:

Horizons planAbout priceAI creditsProjectsBest for
Free$05 one-time1Trying the idea before paying
Explorerabout $6.99/mo30 per month1One first project
Starterabout $13.99/mo70 per monthup to 25Anything that sells online or needs priority support
Hobbyistabout $39.99/mo200 per monthup to 50Power users running many projects

Use case: a salon owner prototyping a deposit-based booking flow, a contractor building a quote calculator, a coach selling digital downloads. Honest caution: apps built by chat still need review. Check security, test payment flows, and confirm the result is findable in search; the same steps we cover in vibe coding a small-business site. Credits are consumed as you iterate, so a vague first prompt costs more than a clear one.

AI automation apps: Hostinger Agent, OpenClaw, Hermes and n8n

Hostinger also sells a plan for running AI agents and automations from its dashboard. One subscription lets you deploy an assistant such as Hostinger Agent, or tools like OpenClaw and Hermes, or a self-hosted n8n workflow engine, in roughly a minute and switch between them. This is not a website plan; it is infrastructure for people who want an always-on helper — answering enquiries, moving data between tools, drafting replies.

Use cases: forwarding web-form leads into a spreadsheet and a text alert; sending appointment reminders; summarising daily orders. Who should skip it: anyone who has not yet documented the manual process they want to automate. Automating a messy workflow just makes the mess faster.

Domains, email and the extras

Shared and cloud plans include free SSL and, on long terms, a free domain for the first year, plus business email at your domain. Check the renewal price of the domain too, and keep it registered under your name; our guide to owning and never losing your domain explains why. For email, set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC so messages reach inboxes, covered in business email at your own domain.

The cheapest plan is the one that matches your site for the next three years, not the one with the lowest number on the pricing page.

How hosting affects SEO, AI search and speed

Hosting does not rank a site by itself. What it does is set the floor: a fast server response, reliable uptime, and a valid certificate are prerequisites for the things that do rank. Slow hosting hurts the same page-speed signals discussed in why three seconds costs half your visitors. For AI assistants the effect is quieter but real: if your server blocks crawlers or times out, you cannot be cited. See how web hosting affects SEO and speed and our AI search optimization service for the rest.

When Hostinger is not the right choice

  • You want someone else to run everything. Managed care costs more than a hosting plan; that is what our website care plans are for.
  • You need strict compliance or dedicated infrastructure. Regulated industries may need a specialist host.
  • You already have a stable site on another host. Moving carries risk. If you do move, follow our migration checklist so rankings survive.
  • You only need one tiny page. A free builder may be enough.

How to buy without regret: a five-step checklist

  1. Pick the term honestly. Longer terms lower the monthly price but commit you; check the money-back window (Hostinger advertises 30 days).
  2. Read the renewal price for hosting and for the domain.
  3. Register the domain in your own account and enable auto-renew.
  4. Turn on backups and SSL, then test a restore once.
  5. Write down logins in a password manager your business controls.
